Charlotte County Transit has an amazing program available for all Charlotte County Residents. Free ride service, curb to curb for anyone over the age of 13!
In reaching out to our community to offer any helpful services we found this wonderful group and are so excited to bring it to you!
The process is easy, call and schedule a pick up/ drop off and return pick up/ drop off. They will take you just about anywhere, restaurants, stores, friends house, what ever is within the service area of Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and Englewood.
This is also a "NON Tip" program, the county pays for this service and it truly is absolutely free. All vehicles are equipped with ramps so they can transport everyone.
They do not however offer group pick ups, so if there are several people wanting to go to the same place each one will call and schedule their own pick up and they will come get each person separately from their home.

Saturday: 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. restricted to a limited service area
Charlotte County Transit service is not provided on Sundays or on County and nationally recognized holidays.

Reservations can be made Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reservations are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no reservations taken on Saturdays. Charlotte County Transit is closed on all National and County recognized holidays.

Cancellations and No-Shows
Cancellations should be made as soon as possible, no later than one hour before the scheduled pickup time. A cancellation at the door or less than an hour before a scheduled pick up time is considered a no-show incident. Upon arrival of the bus, if the passenger does not board within three minutes, the driver will leave, the passenger will be marked a no-show, and will need to reschedule the trip. Reasonable Modifications can be requested.
